The Drop Festival hits Coolangatta Beach in March

With two hugely successful tours already in its wake, The Drop Festival is back in 2020 for a third season that’s set to be even better and waaaay bigger, with a new location added to the Australian tour and plans to take the event to music and beach culture fans around the globe!

After making its way around the country hitting up some of the world’s best surf breaks to sell-out crowds, The Drop Festival will once again follow the World Surf League Championship Tour and Qualifying Series events and in 2020, for the first time, will add an additional stop at the Noosa Longboard Open.

This touring banger, that follows the waves, is set to kick off on Saturday February 29 in Noosa then head to Newcastle on Sunday 7 March, Manly on Saturday 14 March, Coolangatta on Saturday 28 March, Torque on Saturday 11 April and finish in Busselton on Saturday 25 April 2020.

The Drop 2020 will have an all-star lineup of Aussie legends The Presets, Boy and Bear, Ball Park Music, Allday, DZ Deathrays, Kita Alexander, and Graace and is a great way to spend a day, sun sea-breeze and some of the best acts around.

The Presets have been recognised worldwide for their dynamic live performances, playing hundreds of shows domestically and internationally, including key slots at renowned international music festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, SXSW, Exit, and Melt.   Boy and Bear are back touring their new single, ‘Hold Your Nerve’, and The Drop will be part of their World Tour. Ballpark Music will be entertaining the masses with their melancholic sounds, ALLDAY, or ‘Chubby Boy’ to his loyal fans, is renowned for making hit songs from a hybrid of hip hop, rap and pop.

My favourite will be checking out those Brisvagas lads, DZ Deathrays, their unique sound and crazy light show sure to be a highlight. Take the Drop will be an awesome summer afternoon on Coolangatta Beach
