Trio of Aussie rock legends to headline Surfers Paradise LIVE

Rock legends Spiderbait, Jon Stevens and The Angels will headline a super-charged weekend of classic Aussie acts when award-winning music festival Surfers Paradise LIVE returns in 2020.

To be held from 30 April to 3 May, the hugely popular event has assembled one of its best-ever line-ups with much-loved musos Vanessa Amorosi, Mark Seymour and the Undertow and Baby Animals to also light up the main outdoor Beach Stage with more headliners set to be announced in the coming weeks.

While the family-friendly festival will remain free for all, die-hard music fans will for the first time be able to purchase VIP passes that guarantee exclusive front-of-stage access and the chance to meet their favourite artists.

First release tickets will go live from 11 February for $79 per day or $199 for a three-day pass.

Ticketed guests will have access to an exclusive LIVE bar at nominated times as well as exclusive access to the front of stage area allowing for the ultimate viewing experience, the chance to mingle with artists, exclusive use of VIP toilets and access to watch all the live music on a big screen.

With talented local artists bringing their live music to the streets of Surfers Paradise every day of the festival, the main event will unfold each evening when the headlining acts take to the Beach Stage near the iconic Surfers Paradise sign, while more of the country’s biggest acts can be seen at Cavill Mall Stage and at White Rhino’s Beach Hut Stage.

Spiderbait will be supported by British India on Friday 1 May, before Saturday 2 May sees Jon Stevens of Noiseworks fame headline Vanessa Amorosi and Dragon.

Surfers Paradise LIVE will then culminate on Sunday 3 May with The Angels, Baby Animals and Mark Seymour and the Undertow set to ignite the Beach Stage. More headliners are set to be announced in early February.

In addition to providing an all-ages live music event, Surfers Paradise LIVE proudly supports and celebrates the local music industry by presenting the Gold Coast Music Awards (GCMAs).

Held on the first night of the festival Thursday 30 April the red carpet will roll out on the Surfers Paradise beachfront as more than 400 industry professionals and music lovers gather to honour the Gold Coast’s best musicians at the coveted industry event.
