Remarkable Luncheon set to support Gold Coast’s homeless population

This month will see local marketing firm, The Right Remark, launch its inaugural Remarkable Luncheon to help raise funds for the Coast’s homeless and Show The Way charity.

With a stack of local artisans and business owners already throwing their support behind this event, the 15 October event is shaping up to be a major success.

Guests will be treated to a six course Asian fusion feast and three hour drinks package at Hideaway Kitchen and Bar in Broadbeach, while kicking back to the sweet sounds of local acoustic artist, Kate McKay.

The first of its kind, The Remarkable Luncheon is set to become one of the Gold Coast’s hottest Friday long lunches for local business owners, philanthropists and socialites alike.

The afternoon will feature fundraising activities including a silent auction showcasing exclusive local artisans and retailers such as Daisy in Dots, Tania Blanchard, Moss Living, Somm Wine Store, Issue1 Robina and so much more.

Event organiser and CEO for The Right Remark, Vanessa Barrington (pictured), said she had been inspired to create this event to celebrate community, connection and help those who need it most right now.

“I’ve been reflecting a lot recently about how important and valuable human connection is during these uncertain times. My husband and I lost everything we owned in a house fire some years back and I know how easy it is for a family to become homeless overnight,” she said.

“This event is an opportunity for people on the coast to connect, come together, celebrate and support local business and raise much needed funds for those who are doing it tough right now,” she said.

Vanessa said The Remarkable Luncheon would be the first of a series of Friday long lunches hosted on the coast, aiming to raise vital funds for local charities who need it most.

“The Right Remark has long been a proud supporter and activist for helping build and promote brands who help others, and it’s my hope that this event will become a signature event for the Gold Coast,” she said.

“We know that housing is a real challenge on the Gold Coast at the moment, and I hope we raise as much money as possible to help Show The Way continue to help local homeless people including families living under the poverty line,” she said.

Tickets for next month’s stunning event are all inclusive ($160 + booking fee) and can be purchased by contacting Vanessa directly on 0406 991 324 or heading over to Eventbrite. Visit for more information.
