Catch these Gold Coast artists at the FIFA fan festival in Brisbane

Football’s biggest celebration is coming to South Bank Parklands, and Gold Coast artists are kicking goals on the lineup.

In a first for the FIFA Women’s World Cup, FIFA Fan Festivals will be rolled out across all Host Cities including #Brisbane, with the event at the South Bank Parklands to run for 26 days from 20 July – 20 August 2023.

Besides all 64 matches of the tournament being beamed onto big screens, the Fan Festival will include a month-long program of entertainment, live music, games, football clinics and activities and visits by FWWC23 mascot Tazuni.

It will be an all-embracing celebration of the beautiful game, offering fans various experiences that will keep them coming back for more.

Open on 25 days during the tournament, visitors can look forward to a variety of programme highlights, including:

  • Live broadcast of all FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 matches on the big screen
  • A weekly headline performance showcasing some of the best homegrown music talent in the region:
  • Running Touch – 21 July
  • Kita Alexander – 28 July
  • Sahara Beck x FELIVAND – 5 August
  • Performances by Gold Coast artists Eliza & The Delusionals (13 August) and Georgia Hoareau (20+26+28 July)
  • Daily live performances featuring acoustic sunset sessions, DJs and other artists
  • Weekend children’s entertainment, such as workshops, stage shows, face painting and discos
  • Mascot meet & greet
  • Game pitch featuring “come and try” sessions and workshops, as well as the opportunity to harness your skills in free-play sessions
  • Themed entertainment days to bring the beat of the tournament to the FIFA Fan Festival

The FIFA Fan Festival is the perfect place to watch the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 matches live in a buzzing atmosphere, while also enjoying an exciting football and entertainment programme. All nine Host Cities will have a FIFA Fan Festival, which will be free to attend for all ages and will provide a vibrant destination for everyone to celebrate the global game and experience the best in football, music, entertainment, local culture, food and games. Fans will be able to enjoy the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 matches on big screens at each venue.
