Treat yourself to a huge Lunar New Year celebration worthy of the robust Ox at Imperial at The Star.
Imperial is The Star’s flagship, high-end Chinese restaurant, with a focus on traditional flavours, ingredients and cooking styles from various regions of China. And until 26 February, Imperial’s already full-to-bursting menu is being supplemented with a delightful range of Lunar New Year ‘Year of the Ox’ specials, including a celebratory banquet.
From Filet mignon with king mushroom to Spicy hot and sour soup, as well as a range of delectable dumplings and other share-style treats, there is definitely something to suit the most discerning of palettes in the Lunar New Year specials.
And if the a la carte menu is more your style, you really can’t go past the Crispy soft shell crab, and Lobster and foie gras dumplings for an entree. Beef aficionados will appreciate the absolutely melt-in-the-mouth beef with slippery rice noodles, while pork lovers will revel in the Braised pork rib with mo sek sauce, and even the good old Pork with sweet and sour sauce, the best we’ve ever had.
On our visit we ordered a little too much and couldn’t fit in the Peking duck, a decision we regretted upon leaving when we saw its perfectly crisp, golden brown skin waiting to be carved at another table. Get it and tell us how it is, won’t you?
Imperial’s Chef Song has more than 30 years’ experience working with and perfecting Asian cuisine, and it shows. His years of international high-end Asian cooking experience have taught him to design and prepare custom dishes that would delight individual guests and cater for a wide range of highly-valued clientele.
Book your visit to Imperial at The Star before 26 February to take advantage of the Lunar New Year specials.
