BIGSOUND has dropped its second live lineup announcement and amongst the gold is some serious homegrown talent.
Gold Coast’s Eliza and the Delusionals, Hollow Coves, PACES and San Mei will perform at the international showcase event alongside the nation’s best up and coming talent.
They’ll join Didirri, Sahara Beck, Psychedilc Porn Crumpets, Ella Hooper, Butterfingers, Blank Realm and The Chats at the 4 – 7 September event.
San Mei said she was excited about the opportunity to meet and learn from people within the music industry and to make some international connections.
“I’ll have a new single coming out, along with a little east coast tour, and looking to make it to the US and UK in the coming year,” she told Blank Gold Coast.
After a stint as triple j Unearthed feature artist of the week in May and the pricking of ears internationally after the release of her track ‘Wonder’ earlier this year, the Gold Coast producer is set for big things.
Hollow Coves will return from international touring to perform at BIGSOUND as well as a number of local shows. After taking out two categories at this year’s Gold Coast Music Awards and selling out venues all over the world, BIGSOUND will be a pivotal moment in the band’s trajectory.
As well as night time performances, Gold Coast acts will also shine at a lunchtime showcase. With the support of City of Gold Coast and Gold Coast Music Awards, Phoebe Sinclair, Black Rabbit George and Electrik Lemomade will have the opportunity to strut their stuff in front of international bookers and buyers attending BIGSOUND.
The showcase takes place Wednesday 5 September from 12.30 – 2.00pm.
