Gold Coast’s best funked-up party band is back with an electrik studio recording of crowd favourite ‘Sing With Me’ and because Electrik Lemonade love their Gold Coast fans so much, they’ve given you an exclusive listen, one day before its official release.
Listen to Electrik Lemonade’s ‘Sing With Me’ now…
It’s a rare talent to take an eight-piece ensemble, cram them into a studio and then create a track that sounds just as good recorded as it does live, but that’s exactly what Electrik Lemonade and their team have done with ‘Sing With Me’.
Drummer Biggie Morton says it best: “we take our live performance experience into the studio and bring the best ears in the business to curate and guide our creative whim.”
‘Sing With Me’ shows exactly why Electrik Lemonade are making such a name for themselves as one of Australia’s best live acts (you can vote for them right now as one of the ten finalists in the National Live Music Awards).
Jakey D (lead guitar) says fans always comment that the band sound better live than on CD, “which is a compliment in itself.”
“If we could somehow capture our dance moves in audio form we’d be laughing.”
Well they’ve done just that, I reckon. ‘Sing With Me’ undoubtedly sees the band at its studio best. And with their National Live Music Awards nomination, as well as recent performance at BIGSOUND (including performing for Dave Grohl’s mum) and plenty of live action on the horizon and an album slated for early in the new year, 2019 is shaping up to be big.

While the band has set their sights on breaking the international touring scene, they’re also realistic about what that means. “By saying that, I mean New Zealand or Bali… somewhere definitely with cheap Jetstar flights because there’s eight of us and just getting to Perth is super exy,” said Jakey.
While all that is coming to fruition for Electrik Lemonade, how about you take a listen to ‘Sing With Me’ a day before its release and tell us what you think?
