Deck Acoustics move to Saturdays this Spring

The Deck Creekside at Currumbin RSL is fast becoming a great place to chill by the water’s edge and listen to live local artists.

This September the Deck Creekside is moving its Deck Acoustics sessions to Saturday afternoons with the likes of Ella Fence, Danny Ross, Felicity Lawless and others.

“While we always strive to reduce our carbon footprint, September is all about being loud and proud about loving our locals”, says CEO Anne Stovin. “We aim to support local in a variety of ways and look to our local community to support us in this”.

So for the spring launch the Club has partnered with local supplier Balter Brewing, who are merely a hop, skip and a jump away to create a fun community event on Saturday 3 September.

“We’ve worked with Currumbin RSL on a number of projects including Anzac day earlier this year which was an honour,” says Balter Brewing Brand manager Stirling Howland.

“It’s great to be involved with a club that has the local community in mind. Currumbin RSL were one of the first venues to have Balter on tap when we launched and we’re stoked to on how well received our beer has been at the club.”

Self styled and self taught local musician Deena will perform late in the afternoon, there will be local food trucks on site plus local Gold Coast based Sacred Circus will be providing a two hour engaging children’s circus Play-Space from 2.00pm near the outdoor playground. Kids can enjoy juggling equipment, diabolos, spinning poi, flower sticks, spinning plates and hula hoops with two experienced children’s circus instructors.

Festivities kick off this first Saturday in Spring. To find out more jump onto the club’s webpage or Facebook.
