Synthony 3 : Live review + gallery | Brisbane Riverstage 25/3/23

Synthony is a musical journey that takes you back to the electrifying era of house and Ministry of Sound. The night is filled with big sound, dirty bass, and dancing that will leave you with a smile on your face and your feet moving to the beat.

The concert starts with two DJ brackets that warm up the crowd with tracks like Lola’s Theme and You Got the Love. Then the orchestra takes the stage, and the night becomes even more explosive.

The light show is mind-boggling, and synonymous with all that was and is disco, London Clubbing, and House. With special appearances by world-class singers, including Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Thandi Pheonix, and Matty O, an incredible layer of depth is added to the show as their voices bellow out over the crowd and night sky transforming you back to the places of dance.

The orchestrated music is conducted by Sarah-Grace Williams, making it both powerful and sexy. The DUCO team has assembled all the big tracks of the electronic era, including Groove Armada, and Morcheeba, with up-to-date renditions of Avicii, Calvin Harris, Flume, and more. The result is a cleverly produced performance that will blow your mind.

The atmosphere is one of celebration and partying, and the concert is perfect for anyone who wants to relive the music of the Kevins, Kylies, and Karens of the past. Be prepared to dance all night long and pack your neon light wristbands and sneakers for a night you won’t forget.

Overall, Synthony 3 is an excellent concert that is not to be missed. The combination of the orchestra, singers, and DJs makes for an unforgettable experience that will have you dancing and singing along to the beats of the disco, house, and more. If you’re in Sydney, be sure to catch the last show on 22 April.
